Taylor Nicole King, 24, tragically passed away in a hit and run accident in Broad Ripple in the early morning hours of March 31st.

Taylor was born on March 24, 1995 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Valerie King and John Hughes. Taylor went to Skiles Test, Fall Creek Middle School and graduated from Lawrence Central High School. She also attended ISU in Terre Haute.
Taylor was a hard worker from an early age, and had worked at several local restaurants. She also worked for Kroger in various departments, and especially enjoyed working in the Floral Department where she developed a love for flowers. Taylor was currently working at The Yard Line Lounge in Castleton, where she is deeply missed by her friends, co-workers, and patrons who new her.
Taylor enjoyed being with friends, and being outdoors. She loved all animals, especially her beloved Beagle, Mocha, and all of the German Shepherds her Mom raised over the years. Taylor liked coming to the river and having steak dinners with her Dad. She also liked spending time with her nieces and nephews.Taylor loved wearing Converse Chuck Taylor tennis shoes, Reggae music, old school hip-hop R&B, and anything tie-dyed.
Taylor was raised and surrounded by a large, loving, blended family; her Mom, Valerie, and Yancey Day, her Dad, John, and Alice (DeFabis) Sweet, sister Carrie (Ridgeway) Medina (Juancarlos), brother Christopher Ridgeway (Lauren), Sawyer Day (Sabrina), Cody Day, grandparents Frederick and Carol King, Don and Betty Hughes, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Taylor is very loved and missed by her best friends Andi Carter and Olivia Crays, as well as many other close friends.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Valerie KIng, Yancey Day, and Grandparents Don and Betty Hughes.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Taylor on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at The White River Yacht Club , 1400 E. 74th Street from 3-6 pm, on the covered deck. Bring an appetizer or dish to share if you'd like.
