Scott Edward Montgomery, 31, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 7, 2019. Scott was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 3, 1988 to Michael A Montgomery and Laura K (Johnson) Hall.
Scott enjoyed fishing, and couldn’t wait until his son was old enough to sit still long enough to join him, he was excited to share his hobby with him. He liked video games, especially first person shooters. This enjoyment spread into the real world, and he also liked shooting guns. He was very proud when he received his gun license, and it was a responsibility he took very seriously, always making sure he was safe. He hated sports, to the annoyance of his fiancé Danielle Wray, whom enjoyed them.
Scott liked being social with people he was close to, like his friends and his brothers. He was a character, with a different sense of humor that always had everyone cracking up. Scott was down to earth and genuine, he never pretended to be something he wasn’t, and he never watered his personality down. He had a big heart, especially where kids were concerned. He would help anyone out, but would go above and beyond if they had children. Scott loved spending time with his own kids and his own family, they were his world.
Scott is survived by his children, Leslie Montgomery, Carter Montgomery, and Leah Montgomery; his fiancé Danielle Wray; his mom Laura (Anthony) Hall; his father Michael A (Shirley) Montgomery; his siblings Shanna, Michael, Dough, Austin, Tyler, Devin, Josh, Robert, Steven, Shawna, Shawn, Michael, and Emilee; his grandmother Anna Faye Grey; his cousin Evan; his best friend Travis Inman; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Services for Scott will be 5 PM, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the hour of service. Burial will be 11AM Monday, September 16 at Acton Cemetery.
