Reinie Nicole Ward

Reinie Nicole Ward, 20, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 31, 2019. 

Reinie was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 11, 1999, to Steven and Crystal (Brannon) Ward.  Reinie was clever and good with words, she was always reading, especially romance novels, and always writing, mostly short stories and poems.  She had aspirations to be a writer eventually, and her work was touching.  She was a music lover, and one of her favorite things to do was to listen to music and hang out with people she cared about, talking about anything and everything.  She was easy to talk to and listened without judgment.  She was incredibly loving with a big heart, the kind of person who would drop everything to help out.  

Reinie was an animal lover, especially cats.  Lions and tigers were her top 2, and it was always a question of when she would come home with a kitten, not a matter of if.  She enjoyed road trips and traveling - but hated to fly.  The one time she flew, she swore never again and made her and her boyfriend Jorge drive all the way back from Florida.  Above everything else, she loved her family fiercely.  She liked going to the park and swinging, especially when she could bring her nieces and nephews.  Being an aunt was a source of pride; a role she took seriously and with enthusiasm.   Things will never be the same without her light, and she will be greatly missed.

Reinie is survived by her parents, Steven and Crystal Ward; her siblings Steven Ward II, Anthony Ward, Brandy Ward, Taylor (James) Styers Fleshman, Alyssa Ward, and Mathew Ward; her grandparents Pamela Downey and Larry Brannon; her boyfriend Jorge; Best Friend Hannah Brannon; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Reinie is preceded in passing by her grandparents Archie Ward and Teresa Jacobs.

Services for Reinie will be 7 PM, Monday, September 9, 2019 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 3 PM until the hour of service.
