Orval Byrd Obituary

Orval G. Byrd, 69, of Indianapolis, formerly of Wardell, MO, passed away on April 15, 2019.

Orval was born in Wardell, MO on April 1, 1950 to Walter Jr and Nora (Hampton) Byrd. He proudly served in the Army, even reenlisting once his first term was up. He became a welder and a farmer once he was honorably discharged. Orval always had a great love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as gardening. He had a big heart, and doted on those he loved. He was a great and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Orval is survived by his beloved wife of almost 30 years, Vicki (Grider) Byrd; his sons Gean Allen, Hunter, and Greg; his daughters Misty, Amy, Jessica, and Kim; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
