Mary Christine (Carrico) Vernick

Mary Christine Vernick, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 15, 2019.

Mary was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 18, 1959, to Joseph Daniel Carrico and Helen Christine (Becker). On September 12, 1975, she married the love of her life, Ronald Vernick.  In her younger years, Mary enjoyed going to bonfires and cookouts.  She loved to feed everyone and cook for her family.  As she got older she loved brain games, like word searches and crossword puzzles.  She had a huge sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. 

On March 11, 1982, Mary was saved.  She loved God and had a very strong faith.  She loved hard and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was very important to her.  She is much beloved and will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ronald Vernick; her children Ronnie (Natalie) Vernick, Brian (Denise) Vernick, and Angie (Corey Thompson) Vernick; her grandchildren Naïka, Cadence, Brayden, Hailey, Hannah, Reece, and Gracie; her siblings Carolyn Adams, Danny (Maggie) Carrico, Joyce Vernick, Kathy (Bob) McGraw, Theresa DeCoursey, David (Mary) Carrico, and Phyllis Lee; her best friend Sally Hopper; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Mary is preceded in passing by her father Joseph Carrico; her mother Helen Becker; her stepfather Jerry Becker; and her brothers-in-law Bill and Don.

Services for Mary will be 7 PM, Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Cornerstone Christian Church, 8930 N SR 267, Brownsburg, IN 46112. Visitation will be from 3 PM until the hour of service.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cornerstone Christian Church.
