Mary Leah Shoecraft was born January 1, 1925 to Robert and Laura Shoecraft in Richmond, Indiana. Mary devoted her life to giving back to those that she loved. Mary was a joy to all she encountered and would give you her last no matter what. Mary spent most of her working years helping those in need. Whether it was cooking meals for a sick friend or just keeping the house.
Mary believed in ceasing the day and never putting off for tomorrow what could be done today. If she wanted something, she went for it. Mary was a mother to all, raising nearly 4 generations, always being there and making sacrifices for her family. She was a woman of all trades. Mary was a great chef, tailor, nurse, teacher, and friend. Highly intelligent, she always found a way out of no way. She was made up of beauty, class and clothed in strength. There wasn't anyone who met Mary and did not love her. To describe Mary in a word it would be love. Mary loved everyone.
Mary was preceded in this natural experience by her parents Robert and Laura Shoecraft, son James A. Bridgeforth, daughter Frances M. Bridgeforth, daughter Victoria Bridgeforth, and cousin Opal Wagstaff. Mary will truly be missed by those who have had the privilege of being blessed with her amazing presence and life. She is survived by son Herman Lamont Bledsoe, daughter Julia Taylor, son Marvin Miller, and cousin William Wagstaff. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
