Mary Ann Hayes, 73, of Indianapolis, formerly of Franklin, KY, passed away on April 8, 2018.

Mary was born in Franklin, KY on October 12, 1944 to Delbert Kendall and Mary B. (Ward) Grant. She worked many odd jobs over the years. Mary liked to read, specifically romance and sci-fi novels. She was good at knitting and crochet. She loved dogs and cats, especially her own. She liked to watch Animal Planet. She was a great cook. She loved children and they were a big part of her life, and she adored each and every one of her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband, Thomas Hayes; her children Sandra Phillips, David Pitcock, William Scott Fletcher, Lee Ann West, Vicki McCabe; Caleb Kendall; her brother Donald Kendall; her sisters Tiney Marie (Dave) Tomlinson and Robbin (John) Baker; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mary is preceded in passing by her parents, Delbert Kendall and Mary Grant; and her brothers Adam, Bruce, Charles, and Ronald Kendall.
