Marcy Raquel Dotson

Marcy Raquel Dotson, 56 years of age, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Indianapolis.

She was born May 5, 1963 in Indianapolis to the late Johnnie Mae Smith and Robert L. Dotson Sr.

Marcy was preceded in death by her mother and younger brother, Brennan Morris.

She was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Northwest High School. Marcy gave her life to Christ at an early age and held steadfast to her faith and a love for God.

She was a dedicated worker and some of her most valued places of employment include Hoosier Village Retirement Center, Goodwill Industries, and Global Plastics.

Marcy loved to do crossword puzzles, had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. She would talk to anyone, anywhere. One of her favorite indulgences was watching Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless.

She was the proud parent of six children: Courtney, Jeria, Maurice, Kierra, DeMarkes (Brittany), and Quincy. She was the proud grandparent of 12 grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her father Robert L. Dotson, Sr., siblings Roderick, Devon, Robert Jr., Ronald, Relanda and Jonathan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
