Kenneth R. Lovelady died peacefully on July 12, 2019, in Indianapolis at the age of 61. He is survived by his sister and caregiver Donna Lovelady; his brothers Jerry (Tina) Lovelady and Roy, Jr. (Beckie) Lovelady; nephew Steven (Christina) Lovelady; cousins Mike King, Kevin King, Julia Hill and Tommylene Froella; and a yappy little dog, Prancer.
Kenny was born on October 3, 1957, to Roy Lovelady, Sr. and Jewell (Overton) Lovelady in Indianapolis. He graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School and was employed by Carpetbaggers as an independent installer for more than 20 years. He also had worked for Kroger Bakery and Cossey’s Auto Service.
He was a quiet individual who relished the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed military history and was passionate about books. He possessed a keen sense of humor and appreciated a good joke or funny story. Kenny loved music, particularly classic rock. He was especially proud that he had traveled to all of the 48 contiguous United States.
A memorial service is being planned for a future date. Memorial donations may be given to the Community Health Network Foundation at 7330 Shadeland Station, Suite 150, Indianapolis, IN 46256 or made online at Community Health Network Foundation, designating CANCER CARE.
