Joseph "Joe" Charles Wurster, 60, of Beech Grove, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018.
Joe was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 23, 1958 to James Sr. and Margaret (Roberts) Wurster. Although he cut meat for over 45 years, he was an avid animal lover. He and his daughter Heidi always looked forward to attending Alice Cooper concerts together. He enjoyed catch-and-release fishing with his daughter Katherine, who also attributes her love of movies to their weekly trips to Take One Video when she was a child. Some of Joe’s favorite things included playing lottery scratch-offs, going to Indiana Grand Casino, and his daily ritual of reading the obituaries. He loved spending time with his family, especially his adoring wife of 41 years, Drema.
Joe is survived by his wife, Drema; his children Heidi Wurster and Katherine Payton (Sarah); his parents James Sr. and Margaret Wurster; his brother James Wurster Jr. and sister-in-law, Lee Ann Ham.
Joe is preceded in passing by his brother John, sister-in-law Larrietta, niece Rachel, and his beloved dog, Nakai.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the family's discretion. Since their commercials always made him cry, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the ASPCA.
