John David Allman

John David Allman, 55, of Seymour, IN, passed away on August 28, 2019.

John was born in Seymour, IN on January 21, 1964, to JC Allman Jr and Gwen Hutcheson.  John was a music lover, classic rock was his jam, and Lynyrd Skynyrd was his favorite band.  He was a guitar player, both real and air.  John loved everything to do with the outdoors, especially camping at Forest Campground and fishing.  A sport he introduced to his girls early on, he took all them fishing. While in his younger years he was in the Boy Scouts.  He hunted deer and often was seen walking in downtown Brownstown, where he would go to the courthouse and people watch.  He liked all sports, and played football in high school.  John was bright, and spent much time as a mechanic working on cars.  His greatest joy was making his friends and family laugh.  He was a free spirit, and a complete sweetheart, the type of man to help anyone and give you the shirt off his back.  John was fun to be around.

John is survived by his mom, Gwen (Kelly Norman) Hutchenson; his daughters Shaina, Anna, and Joni; his sisters Sherri (Mike) O’Rosco and Terrie (Kevin) Richart; his aunt Pastor Jean Allman Pogue; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

John is preceded in passing by his father, JC Allman Jr; his grandparents; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for John will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Easyville Church of Jesus Christ, 1882 IN-258; Seymour, IN 47274.  Family and friends are welcome to visit from 11:00 AM until the hour of Service, with Pastor Jean Allman Pogue officiating. Burial will follow at Smallwood Cemetery.
