Jackie Lee (Blackjack) Smith

Jackie Lee Smith “Blackjack”, 59, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018.

Jackie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 2, 1959 to Jackie Joseph Smith and Mary Emogene Smith (Morris). 

Jackie worked as a packer for Red Ball Moving and United Van Lines.

All who knew Jackie would always find him at the Indianapolis Speedrome (Kitley speedway) racing cars.  Jackie was a regular at the track and quickly became known to all as Blackjack.

Jackie is survived by his loving family including his parents, Jackie Joseph and Mary Emogene Smith; life-long partner Lisa Ann Bryan; son Billy Bartholomew (Buffie); sisters, Mary Lillard and Stephanie Lamb; brothers, Mike Smith (Kathy) and Bobby Smith (Sheila); grandchildren, Elizabeth (Keven), Jackie Lee Anna (Wilmer) and Billy (Reanna); great-grandchild Jordan Levi.

Jackie was preceded in death by his brother Billy Ray Smith (Lorrie).

Funeral service for Jackie will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 6:00PM at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Family and friends are invited to visit from 2:00PM until the hour of the service.
