Emilia Cabrera Ortega, 69, of Indianapolis, formerly of Mexico City, Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
Emilia was born on August 8, 1949 in Mexico City, Mexico to Simon Cabrera and Elena Ortega. Emilia had a strong work ethic and she was a provider. She worked hard both as a homemaker and at her job at Eli Lily to take care of her family. She never seemed to slow down, wanting what was best for them. She was a great cook and took great pleasure in feeding her loved ones. She adored being a grandma and her many, many grandchildren. She collected mini figurines and curtains. She was an animal lover and kept parakeets and dogs. She loved fiercely and will be missed fiercely.
Emilia is survived by her husband, Jose Guadelupe; her children Marcos Reyes, Maria De Los Angeles, Raymon Sanchez, Leobardo Sanchez, Marcio Sanchez, Maria Del Carmen, and Laura Leticia Sanchez; her grandchildren Saul, Adriana, Jasmine, Leslie, Jose, Armando, Nancy, Geovani, Juanraymon, Juanmanuel, Leobardo, Armando, Anamaria, Juancarlos, Erika, Adrian, Sergio, Susana, Oscar, Angel, and Sophia; her great-grandchildren Jose Louis, Jacob, Alexos, Aiden, Aubrie, Bella, Selena, and Adeline; her siblings Christina, Guadalupe, and Adelaida; Sons and Daughters-in-Law Miguel, Marco, Leticia, Licha, Marisol, Maricela, Juan, and Hector; and many nieces and nephews.
Emilia is preceded in passing by her father Simon Cabrera; her mother Elena Ortega; and her siblings Juanmanuel and Pilar.
Services for Emilia will be 12 PM, Noon, Wednesday, December , 2018 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 950 Prospect St. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Burial will follow Wednesday's service at New Crown Cemetery.
