Eddie Joe Goodnight, 67, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, July 14, 2017.  Eddie was born in Brazil, IN on May 11, 1950 to the late Lawrence and Georgia (Strickland) Goodnight.  Eddie was an animal lover, and always feeding the local animals, especially the squirrels and birds.  He was a practical jokester, he liked to laugh.  He enjoyed watching TV, his favorite programs being Duck Dynasty, Pawn Stars, wrestling, and races.  He liked to be social and spend time with his family and friends. 

Eddie is survived by his children, Eddie Jr. and Gordon Goodnight; his grandchildren, Michael Goodnight and Tamaira Roberts; and his siblings, Bobby (Brenda) Goodnight, Ginger Smith, Johnny (Anny) Goodnight, Dolly (Reverend Eddie) Haynes, and Francis (Tommy) Darling.

In addition to his parents, Eddie is preceded in passing by his brothers Arthur Lee Goodnight and Jack Smith.

A funeral service for Eddie will be 1 PM, Wednesday, July 19, 2017.  Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service.  Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
