Douglas E Pettigrew, 58, of Indianapolis passed away on June 20, 2017.  Douglas was born in Madison County on February 9, 1959 to Boyd Pettigrew and Yvonne Covington.  He was a roofer and a landscaper for many years.   Douglas like to read, anything he could get his hands on.  He especially liked history.  He enjoyed watching Jeopardy.  He was a jokester and liked making people laugh.  He enjoyed riding his bike.  Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandsons, of which he had seven.

Douglas is survived by his children Rebecca (Jose) Rodriguez and Daniel (Bonnie) Pettigrew; grandchilren Calvin, Mamadi, Alan, Christopher, Jovani, Nicolas, Xzavier, and Kaylynn; his parents Boyd Pettigrew and Yvonne Covington; his siblings KEvin, Teresa, Michael, and Jeffery; the mother of his children Joan; many nieces and nephews; and his In-Laws, the whole Rodriguez family who treated him like one of their own.

Service for Douglas will be 7PM, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 3 PM until the hour of service.
