Debra Kay Sunshine, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
Debra was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 21, 2019 to Harold Carmichael and Maggie Pearl (Baskerville) Morris. Debra was very smart, and after High School she continued learning. If she did not know how to do something, she took the time to figure it out. As an appraiser she learned a lot about houses, and could often remodel better than the pros, be it roofing, drywall, or something else. Give her enough time, she would find a way. Debra had a great work ethic, and she worked hard for everything she had. She also had a huge heart, and she worked for her things so she could give them away and help others. She unofficially adopted many kids and grandkids along the way. She was the party planner for parties, she had all the fun games. She spent all the time with them that she could. She was a proud member of Diversity Church on Raymond, and loved sharing God with others. She often took the kids to Sunday School. She stayed active so she could keep up with her kids and so she could live life to the fullest. She possessed a kind and generous soul, and her presence will be missed.
Debra is survived by her siblings, Pat, Joyce, Eugene, Rick, David, and Jessie; her children Johnny Morris and Bobbi Morris; her grandchildren Dante and Kalista; and many nieces and nephews.
Debra is preceded in passing by her father Harold Carmichael and her mother Maggie Morris.
