Deborah Denise Miller, 60, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of East Point, GA, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018.
The world wasn't ready when she made her appearance on December 1, 1957 in East Point, GA, but she was ready for the world. A daughter of Richard D and Carolyn Imogene (Dodgen) Fitzpatrick, she was a country girl at heart. She loved the mountains and hated the city. Deborah was a pistol, she was feisty and stubborn, and she liked to be social and have fun. She was born to raise hell. She loved the mischief element of getting away with something she shouldn't have, and would gleefully recount what she did to an audience later. Her drink of choice was Busch Beer that she sipped through a straw and she liked her cigarettes.
She was a collector of tiny things and a fan of sterling silver jewelry. Once she figured out internet shopping off her phone there was no stopping her. She loved Michael Landon and would swear he was her real baby daddy to her last breath. Her freedom and independence were very important to her, and she was proud of the fact that she was able to stay in her own home and do things her way until the end, she never wanted to burden others or live by any rules that weren't her own.
Deborah loved as fiercely as she lived, and she would do anything for her kids. She was a bulldog when she needed to be, or she would call in her daughter Brandy to handle it. She adored her grandchildren and had pizza and movie sleepovers with them as often as she could. She was always prepared with a box of McDonald's toys to entertain them with. She will be greatly missed.
Deborah is survived by her children, Van Ness Allen (Melanie Sack-Stearns) Risley III, Brandy Leigh (Jennifer) Feldhake, and Richard Quitman (Niki Erickson) Ellis; her grandchildren Junior, Patience, Adrien, Asher, Jazlynn, and Jaden; her great-grandchild Ansley; her siblings Dennis Fitzpatrick, David Fitzpatrick, Karen Barry, Kenny Fitzpatrick, and Kathy Gnewieck; her nieces and nephews Scott, Stephanie, Levy, Jeff, TC, Corey, Michael, and Amanda; her best friend Cindy Gulley; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Deborah is preceded in passing by her parents, Richard and Carolyn Fitzpatrick.
