Charlie stayed active and was avid about taking care of himself, he still went to the gym to workout well into his 80s. He liked to read magazines and never kept food in the house, preferring to eat out. He loved his family and spending time with them, his grandchildren were everything to him. He never missed a major event, always making sure he was there for them.
