Catherine "Cathy" O'Brien Obituary

Catherine "Cathy" Lee O'Brien, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018.

Cathy was born on October 27, 1962 in Indianapolis, IN to Edward Marcel and Mary Catherine (Carpenter) Hicks.  Cathy was a homemaker, she dedicated her life to her family.  She cooked, clean, and took care of them.  She was thoughtful and she loved them fiercely.  She was stubborn as a mule and always did things her way.  She had a fighting spirit and never gave up.  She loved animals, especially her dogs.

Cathy was a huge wrestling fan, and watched a lot of WWE with her brother Tim.  Her favorite wrestler was Moose Cholack, like her father before her.  She also enjoyed football and was a huge Bears fan, but was also known to root for the Packers and the Colts.

Cathy was a great judge of character and a very accepting person.  She could always be counted on for a non-judgemental ear to listen.

Cathy is survived by her beloved husband, whom she had been with for 35 years, Steven O'Brien; her children Amber and Justin; her siblings Elaine, Tom, and Bill; and many nieces and nephews.

Cathy is preceded in passing by her parents, Edward and Mary Hicks; and her siblings Dan, Tim, and Mike.
