Casey Lee Manning, 49, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
Casey was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 4, 1969 to Thomas J and Peggy (Connor) Manning. He worked in maintenance and construction for many years until his health went south. He loved listen to music and playing computer games with his wife Dawn. He was a car enthusiast, and would often get the Blue Book to look at all the different vehicles. He could tell the make/model/and year of a car by sight. At one point him and his family lived in Florida, and he always wanted to go back. He loved the beach, hanging out with family and friends, and riling up the alligators with his son, Joshua. In his younger years he took his son Josh to every Monster Jam he could, along with hiking with his wife, especially at Eagle Creek.
Casey loved his family. He loved uplifting others and telling jokes. He would often call his son and his son's girlfriend out of the blue to tell them a joke just to hear them laugh. He was the grill master, and grilled out as often as he could, at every event. He sometimes complained about it, but when it came down to it, no one else was allowed to take over his domain. His baked potatoes were his star specialty, with ribeyes being a close second. He doted on his dog Cole, buying him all sorts of outfits and treats. He was generous with his love, and recently his favorite past time was holding his granddaughter and telling her all the different ways he would spoil her rotten when she was older.
Casey is survived by his wife, Dawn Manning; his son Joshua; his granddaughter Ariella; his father Thomas Manning; his siblings Carl, Jackie, Phillip, Scott, and Dawn; his step-brother James Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
Casey is preceded in passing by his mother Peggy Manning; his brother Kenny; and his dog Cole.
Services for Casey are 5 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the hour of service.
