With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Chris Wilkison, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Chris departed from this world on Sunday, March 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered.

Chris was born on December 4, 1964, in Indianapolis, IN, to Edman and Dorothy (Mullin) Wilkison. Throughout his life, Chris exemplified exceptional qualities that touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a man of profound kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement. His gentle nature and generous spirit were evident to all who crossed his path.

A diligent provider for his family, Chris worked tirelessly to ensure their well-being. Yet, amidst his dedication to his responsibilities, he found peace in the great outdoors. Camping, hiking, and hunting were among his passions, and the beauty of nature served as a source of tranquility for him.

Above all, Chris was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Peggy, and a loving father to his children Christopher, Derek, Carl, and Charles Alexander, as well as his bonus daughter Brooklyn. His heart swelled with joy at the arrival of each grandchild, and he cherished his role as Papaw and Uncle with boundless affection.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife Peggy, his children, grandchildren, brother Steve Wilkison, and his faithful companion, his dog Gypsy. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Edman and Dorothy Wilkison.

In honoring Chris's memory, let us carry forward the values he embodied—kindness, generosity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will forever remain a beacon of light in our lives.

Rest in peace, dear Chris. You will be deeply missed, but your love will live on in our hearts eternally.
