The whole city felt this one; Indianapolis bids farewell to Brian "Uncle B" Keith Bolton Sr., 51, who departed on April 16, 2024. Born on July 13, 1972, Uncle B was Fountain Square through and through, with a talent for construction and carpentry. He could build a house from the ground up, and he worked hard and was a true hustler, doing that to provide for his family.
But beyond his construction talents, Brian had a passion for treasure hunting, loving nothing more than finding vintage gems tucked away in old homes. His love for classic rock, particularly bands like Black Sabbath and Metallica, added to his old skool charm. He possessed an unwavering confidence in his opinions, firmly convinced of the rightness of his perspectives in every discussion or debate. This made it quite challenging to sway him to another way of thinking, and it was damn near impossible to win an argument with him.
Yet, Brian's most enduring legacy lies in his infectious personality. A true jokester, he could light up any room with his humor, never shying away from the risky joke. He was the life of the party, the friend everyone wanted by their side. He was the type of person that was always himself, and that genuineness drew people to him.
Above all, Uncle B was a man with a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity knew no bounds, as evidenced by the numerous "bonus" children he welcomed into his life.
Brian is survived by his children Jordan Farr, Brian (Jalena) Bolton Jr, and Tori (Nick) Bolton-Adimare; his grandchildren Karmen, Nevaeh, Jayden, Gabriella, Brielle, Jalaya, Zona, Meila, Junior, Nevaeh, and one more on the way; his bonus children Ginger, Roland, Ian, and Arianna; his siblings Michelle (Dale), Royce Jr, and Vasiti; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Uncle B is preceded in passing by his parents and his brother Stephen.
While his departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, Brian's spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched with his laughter, kindness, and unwavering love. Rest easy, Uncle B, and may your jokes continue to echo in the halls of memory for years to come and may your luck never run dry wherever you roam.
