Peggy Lucille Nelson, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 12, 2018.
Peggy was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 2, 1947 to the late Charles Francis and Elsie Mae Nelson. Peggy was a bartender for many years before working with Regis Inventory Service. She enjoyed Bingo and Card games. She liked to do word searches. She was crafty and knitted. Peggy liked to have fun and was a people person. She loved country music, especially Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and Hank Snow. She often told the story of how when she was pregnant with her eldest Charles, she went to a Hank Snow concert and the music made him kick so hard she had to leave. She loved her family, especially her kids, grandchildren, and her furbaby Katy Kay.
Peggy is survived by her children Charles (Regina Gardner) Nelson, Jon Pearse (Patricia Castro), Richard (Lora) Clement; grandchildren, Chelsea, Christopher, Brandon, Cody, Samantha, Jesse, Cole, Justin, Alicia, and Charles; several great-grandchildren; and a brother.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in passing by her daughter, Frances Ruiz; her step mothers Mamie Nelson, Mildred Nelson, Joyce Nelson and Virginia Nelson; her dog Katy Kay; and 2 brothers.
Funeral Services for Peggy will be 2PM, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 12 PM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery.
