Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Woodruff, 44, of Indianapolis, passed away April 5. 2018.
Kenneth was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 15, 1973 to Bonnie (Day) Woodruff. Kenneth had a strong work ethic. He was a truck driver for many years with Mayflower, and enjoyed traveling, his long truck routes like mini vacations for him. He was also a bartender, which played into how he loved being social and to have fun with people. Kenneth had a good sense of humor, and he was always the jokester and prankster of the group. He had a way with the ladies and was a serial flirt.
Kenneth loved the outdoors. From Nascar to fishing to camping to going to the beach, he loved it all. His favorite destination was Florida. He loved having cookouts and cooking, of which he was very talented. His pork loin was out of this world, and never lasted longer than 20 minutes when he brought it to a cookout.
Most of all Kenneth loved his family. He was a great uncle, a great friend, a great brother, a great son, and a great father who worshiped his son Devin. Once you won his loyalty, he would go to the ends of the Earth for you. His is a light that will be missed by all who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Devin Michael Woodruff; his mother Bonnie Woodruff; his siblings Julia Couch, David (Mary) Brumley, Sherri Woodruff Barnett; and Michael Woodruff; and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth is preceded in passing by a sister, Cindy Day.
Services for Kenneth will be 3 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service. The family has asked in lieu of flowers donations be made to help offset funeral costs.
