James "Jimmy" aka the Reaper C. Carr, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
Jimmy was born on November 1, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Carl and Ruby (Brown) Carr. He was a painter by trade.
Jimmy had a big heart, he wanted to help everyone that he could. He cared deeply for those around him. One day around 2 years ago he had a vision sent from God, and from that vision he was called to action to fight heroin, a terrible epidemic sweeping the nation. He advocated for addicts, helping many get treatment and go to rehab, his main program being Ruby Recovery.
He liked to be outdoors, especially fishing or mushroom hunting. He loved spending time with his family and being a grandpa. He had aspirations to pan gold come warmer weather at his son's house. He will be missed.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki Carr; his children Audra, Jason (Angel), and Karla; his grandchildren Nick, Tori, Shyanne, Jasmine, Jadeyn, Jordyn, Bubby, and Mickey; his great-grandchild on the way Lincoln Cash; his siblings Eddie (Mickey), Ernie (Mary), Darroll (Shiela), Peg (Claude), and Delsie (Timmy); many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service for Jimmy will be 7 PM, Monday, December 4, 2017 at House of Victory Church. Visitation will be from 3 PM until the hour of service.
