Gwendolyn "Gwen" Delores Hill, 65, of Indianapolis passed away November 14, 2016.  Gwen was born in Indianapolis on April 8, 1951 to the late Michael Walter and Virginia Louise (Fulton) Baker.  She served in the Army during Vietnam but was stationed in the States.  Gwen did a bit of everything in her life, she was a Nurse, a Medic, and a Social Worker.  She had her Master's Degree, and almost her Doctorate, but at the end of her journey decided she didn't want it.  She was a funny, feisty person.  She was stubborn as stubborn could be, but also very loving.  She cared about people, and it reflected in how she conducted herself.  She never met a stranger, and was very well liked among her peers, friends, and family.  She enjoyed debating with people, reading, and puzzles.  She liked watching movies and her programs, Charmed, Law & Order, and NCIS being her favorite.  She loved smoking, and her favorite sayings where "Where's my cigarettes?" and "WHAT DID I SAY!?".  She adored her grandchildren, and loved being a grandma.  She will be greatly missed.

Gwen is survived by her children, Virginia (Gregory Goodwin) Carter, Benjamin (Wendy) Hill, and Michelle Hooper; her grandchildren, Donzell (Jacqueline), Kristian, Jada, Tianna, Deja, Lillian, Ileithia, and Isaac; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jazell, and Dequan; siblings, LeRoy, Delores, Donna, and Noland; and God-Daughter Tiya Trent.  In addition to her parents, Gwen is preceded in passing by her husband, Raymond Hill; and her siblings Dorthy, Michael, David, Ronald, and Rose.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
