George Louis Hurt, 78, of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017.  George was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 16, 1939 to the late Albert Vincent and Catherine Hurt.  George was a dog lover, and his dogs were his babies.  He loved all sports, and had one for every season.  He enjoyed NASCAR and the Indy 500.  He liked classic Country Music, like Grand Ole Opry. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn.

George is survived by his daughter Diane (Jose Perez) Banda; and his grandchildren Robert, James, and Vincent.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in passing by his wife Carolyn and his daughter Lorraine.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.
