Freddie Gene Gourley, 85, of Indianapolis passed away October 11, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Freddie Gene was born in White House, TN on April 5, 1931 to the late Robert Taylor and Annie Elizabeth (Meadows) Gourley.  He was a truck driver for many years before retiring.  He loved Nascar, Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver.  He was also a Colts fan.  He liked doing search word puzzles and taking care of his porch plants.  He gardened for many years, often unloading his bountiful crops of tomatoes and cucumbers on his children. He enjoyed going to the VFW to visit with his friends.  He loved being around his family the most.

Freddie Gene is survived by his companion, Viola Brane; his children, Robert S Gourley, Shari Glasscock, Tammy Dawn (Pat) Heath, and Loretta Lynn Gourley; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Freddie Gene is preceded in passing by his wife Margaret Joanne Reynolds Gourley and his children, Gary G Gourley, David Lee Gourley, and Patricia Ann Sawyer.

Service for Freddie Gene will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
