Doris Jean Allen, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.  Doris was born in Charleston, WV on March 22, 1934 to the late Howard Elton Parson and Garnet Marie (Marshall) Jones.  She was a Racker for an Aluminum Finishing company for many years before being a homemaker.  Doris loved flowers, her yard was always full of them.  She enjoyed bird watching.  She also liked to do crossword puzzles and talk on the phone.

Doris is survived by her children, Ellen Marie (Harry) Wallace, Michael Lee (Darla) Lamb, Jean Michelle Harrison, Cynthia Mae (Steve) Bay, Mark Jeffery (Sara) Allen, Sallie Ann (Jim) Lane, and Jeffery James Allen; 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her parents Doris is preceded in passing by her husband, Forest Lee Allen; and two sons, Martin James Allen and Robert Howard Coons. 

A Graveside Service for Doris will be at 11 AM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
