Deva Elizabeth Turner, 85, of Indianapolis, formally of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away November 9, 2017.

Deva was born on February 26, 1932 in Tompkinsville, KY to the late Price and Gracie (Parsley) King.  Deva worked for many years for General Devices before retiring.  She enjoyed gardening, and canning the fruits of her labors.  She like watching TV, especially Criminal Minds and Heat of the Night.  She was an animal lover and she loved her cat and dog.  She was a strong Woman of Faith and a proud member of Fountain Square Church of Christ. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Deva is survived by her daughters, Felicia and Pamela; her sons Julian I and Jamues; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Deva is preceded in passing by her beloved husband Clarence Turner; her daughters Janet, Joan, and Marcill; her son Vernon Sr; and a grandson Jay Higginbotham.

Funeral Services for Deva will be 1 PM, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service.
