Connie Jean Hopkins, 66, of Beech Grove, formally of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017.  Connie was born on September 29, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to Curtis and Mary (Law) Thomas.  After graduating High School Connie worked for many years doing Environmental Services for a hospital.  She was a reader, her favorite genre being romance novels.  She liked to smoke her cigarettes and vapor cigarettes while she watched TV.  She enjoyed shopping.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.  Her sister Sandy was her best friend, and they adored one another.  Connie was one of a kind, and she will be missed.

Connie is survived by her mother, Mary Thomas; her sister Sandy Howard and her husband Mike; her niece Leyla Walker and husband Jim; her nephews Zachary Howard and his fiancee Alissa Reeves, and Roman Pagano; her great nieces and nephews Alexis Pagano, Dominic Pagano, Lily Walker, James Walker IV, and Braxton Howard; and good friend Sharon Wetherald.

Connie is preceded in passing by her husband Dale Hopkins and her father Curtis Thomas.

Funeral Services for Connie will be at 1 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at New Crown Cemetery, in their chapel.  Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of service.
