Carl Sizemore

Carl Sizemore, 72, of Indianapolis, formerly of Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Carl was born in Kentucky on January 7, 1946 to the late Burgie and Margaret (Lawson) Sizemore.  Carl was a jack-of-all-trades and very handy.  He was a social guy who never met a stranger. He liked to have fun.  He liked to joke and play around, and he had a good sense of humor.  Carl had a big heart and liked to give back.  He looked after many kids and elderly people in his day, and during Thanksgiving he would cook dinner for the elderly at Luther Towers. 

He was a man of strong faith and had confidence in God.  He was a fantastic cook, with meatloaf being his specialty, and he loved cooking for others.  Bluegrass was his favorite music, with his favorite musicians being Lester Flatt and Ralph Stanley.  His family was very important to him, his wife Pearl was the love of his life and his great-granddaughter Rosalie was the apple of his eye.  

Carl is survived by his wife, Pearl; his children Carl Jr and William "Billy"; his stepchildren Jacqueline, Paul, Dale, and Toney; his grandchildren Emily, Billy Jr, Elizabeth, and Amanda; his great-grandchild Rosalie; his siblings Edith, George, Sue, Bobby, John, and Walter; his aunts Stella and Dorothy; his cousin Donald Ray; and many niece, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents Carl is preceded in passing by his son Randall; his stepson Jeff; and his brother Steve.

Funeral service for Carl will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.  Carl will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery.
