Britney Jolene Sue Golden-Cruz, 27, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018.
Britney was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 26, 1991 to Allen Junior Mathes and Frieda Kay Golden. Britney ran a cleaning business with her husband, Eugene.
Even though she was born in the winter, Britney was a summer child. She loved the outdoors. Among her favorite hobbies were camping and fishing. She was a water baby, and loved swimming and going to the beach. She went on trips to Bloomington with her family to do all of her favorite activities. Spending time with her children was her main focus, she loved sharing her hobbies with them, and taking them to parks to play. She was very into music, and loved sitting outside while she did so. Hip Hop was her favorite genre. Britney was the oldest of three sisters, with 6 older brothers. She grew up tough, and it was a trait she carried into adulthood.
Britney is survived by her husband, Eugene Cruz; her children Paul and Melody; her mother Frieda Golden; her siblings Jeffury Golden, Junior Golden, Christopher Golden, Danny Golden, Shane Golden, Dustin Golden, Brooke Golden, and Brigette Golden; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
Britney is preceded in passing by her best friend and father, Allen Mathes; and her sisters Hope Golden and Amanda Golden.
Funeral Services for Britney will be 7PM, Monday, February 26, 2018 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 4 PM until the hour of service.
